Clemens) and Charles Dudley Warner; American Publishing Company, Hartford, Conn., 1873; first edition, first state; hard cover; book condition is good; blue cloth cover boards with gilt title on spine; front board is weak at the hinge, but binding is strong and in tact; missing ffep, verso of frontispiece is stained and title page has some surface staining, page 362-363 have some ink blotches over the text, but otherwise inside pages are good; has all first issue points: no publishers advertisements at back of book; title page dated 1873 including White's name in the list of artists with electrotyper's imprint on the verso; use of 'Eschol Sellers on pages vii, 27, 247 and 355; final illustration numbered Alice 211 on page xvi; 'Hallelujah' without a comma on page 246; period after 'Dr. Jackson' on page 280; repeating lines on 140-141; no illustration on page 403; overall a beautiful copy of this Twain classic.
