This medieval prop shield was used by a one of the “Knights of Camelot” background characters in the motion picture, “First Knight." The prop shield was custom made for use the film and is constructed of fiberglass that was hand painted silver and shaded with black paint by the film’s prop department to create an aged look.
These shields were used in several scenes of the film, most notably during the climactic night-time battle sequence when King Arthur (Sean Connery) leads his Knights of Camelot into battle to fight against the evil barbarian hordes lead by his foe Prince Malagnant (Ben Cross).
The shield is in excellent screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
