19TH CENTURY FRENCH SEVRES STYLE HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN AND FRENCH ENAMELED JARDINIERE (SEE PHOTO ON CATALOG COVER)
Paperwork suggests that this rare and outstanding item is reputed to have been presented to the High Commissioner of the Imperial Persian Government by the chief executives of the Republic of France. This piece also has provenance showing that is was owned by Clement O. Miniger, who was the gentleman who picked up the rights to a patent for providing electric lights for automobiles. He is referred to in Toledo history as one of Americas most prosperous industries. Note: Very small chip on bottom of base of jardiniere.
