STAMPED "L.D. FUNKHOUSER & CO. / STRASBURG / VA" DECORATED STONEWARE CAKE CROCK, salt glazed, "3" gallon capacity stamp, low cylindrical form with applied arched handles and squared rim. Brushed cobalt decoration comprising a five-petal horizontal flower with feathered stem on each side, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Strongly stamped with classic "rising sun" mark. Circa 1866-1890. 8" H, 10 5/8" D.
