STAFFORDSHIRE FLOW-BLUE TRANSFERWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, blue on white. comprising an Argyle platter with gilt decoration, and two Colonial plates and a matching gravy boat, each with underglaze mark. Platter W. H. Grindley, remaining articles J. & C. Meakin. Late 19th/early 20th century. Platter 1 3/4" H, 11 3/4" x 17 1/8", plates 8 3/4".
Provenance: Collection of Leah and the late Bill Pollard, Purcellville, VA.
Platter and gravy boat undamaged, expected surface wear, plates each with a rim flake, one with some discoloration to reverse.
