A LEADED GLASS AND PATINATED METAL LANTERN

The single-light lantern consisting of a four sided box-like pierced metal frame holding inside panes of clear, amber, red, and purple stained pressed glass; the top and bottom of the frame encircled by a band of fanciful rococo-style pierced repoussé decoration; cast metal (possibly nickel) foliate scrolls spring from the top and bottom corners of the frame, the lower ones supporting a pendant acorn, the upper ones the central pole with hanging loop; with a newer cast chrome canopy and chain; electrified.
