Autographs 1780 Dated French Livres Revolutionary War Loan Form
FRANCIS HOPKINSON, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Fine 3.75” x 8.5” Document signed, “FR Hopkinson”, as Treasurer of Loans, on watermarked, fine laid Paper, September 26, 1780, (Philadelphia), Pennsylvania. Number 887. Being a Thirty Days Sight Bill of Exchange, to Sharp Deleny, addressed to the U.S. Commissioner at Paris, for $24 (120 Livres tournois). Also signed by Tho. Smith, Commissioner of the Continental Loan Office of Pennsylvania. Partly printed in black and red ink, and accomplished in manuscript.
