AN UNUSUAL BRONZE AND IVORY STATUE OF A COURTLY YOUNG WOMAN
France, late 19th Century
The finely carved rendering of a maiden lost in reading out of doors with her bonnet slung on her arm. The gold patinated bronze dress simulates silk. Raised on a green onyx stepped corner plinth.
Very good condition. Minor age cracks to ivory.
18½ x 6½ x 6 inches (47 x 16.5 x 15.2 cm).
