Poseidon Reborn large oil on board, signed by Alexander Canedo 1902 - 1978, lower right. Dimensions: 24" X 29". Traveling from his native Mexico, Canedo studied at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris and later in Rome. His works have been exhibited in prestigious galleries in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and the Petit Musee, in Paris in 1948. A smaller, lesser, more simple, lesser desirable medium - pencil drawing by Canedo, "Reclining Male Nude" Lot # 26 sold for $4,375 at Doyle New York on January 11th, 2011.
