Late 18th to early 19th Century flintlock trade musketoon. 16 inch brass barrel with Tower of London proof mark. No makers mark. Appears to be approximately .69 caliber. Brass serpent side plate typical to British made Native American trade guns. Hand carved checkering on grip and fore stock. Brass tacks decorate stock, with hand carved eagle holding a tomahawk. Brass butt plate, trigger guard, and ram rod bands. Stock shows dark wood patina, and is free of cracks and significant chips. Ramrod appears original. Hammer does not lock back.
