This is the SEVENTH of 20 examples of paintings, sculpture and mixed media works of art from an important Tarpon Springs Florida area collection of antique, old master and contemporary central, northern and eastern European art that will be offered today as individual lots.
This SEVENTH lot is an interesting detailed and early double sided painting with two variations of the same painting featuring the Virgin Mary and the baby Jesus with various inscriptions and or signatures in the backgrounds of each composition. Frame appears to be silver however we could not find a hallmark and it has not been tested. Crystal material and crystal age uncertain.
4 3/4 inches high by 3 7/8 inches wide by 1/4 inch deep
Condition: Not removed from frame. Darkened varnish, scattered losses, scattered craquelure and a chip on upper right edge on one side, uncertain if in crystal or on painting.
