Louis C. Tiffany Furnaces Studios Bronze Enamel Signed Bowl. Heavy large bronze American Art Nouveau to Arts and Crafts Movement bowl designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany and his New York Studios and stamped Louis C Tiffany Furnaces, Inc. together with the firm’s monogrammed hallmark and model number 405. Rim has a narrow elongated Greek key type outer band and a broad shell or stylized floral embossed motif wit inset oval green enamel details. The interior of the bowl is a contrasting gilt dore bronze. Handsome estate find approaching 2 pounds!
10 1/4 inch diameter stands 1 3/4 high with 1 1/8 inch rim and 3 1/2 inch diameter base.
Provenance: Major Ohio collection re-located during retirement to Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Condition: As discovered in the estate with warm bronze outer band and mellow gold interior band. Enamel is substantially intact with various ovals showing wear and a few small scattered losses commensurate with age. Metal lip has some angulations visible from side (see detailed images). Interior has some wear and a couple of minor impacts.
