Vintage signed and inscribed sepia 7.5 x 9.5 photograph, an unusual early image of Satchmo standing in a full length pose reading a copy of Melody Maker. The trumpeter appears dapper wearing tweed plus fours and a flat cap. Photograph by Ava Studio. Signed by Armstrong in blue fountain pen ink to a light area at the centre of the image, 'Best Wishes to Sid, My “Tailor” - Thanks for making this wonderful suit, from Louis Armstrong' and dated 17th February 1934 in his hand.
