Romain de Tirtoff (23 November 1892 – 21 April 1990) viewed as the epoch of the Art Deco period was a foremost Russian born painter, fashion and theatrical stage designer, who called himself Erté after the French pronunciation of his initials.rn

Plate measures 18 3/4 inches high by 13 3/4 inches wider
Visible sheet within mat site measures approximately 21 1/2 inches high by 16 inches wide, within black ribbed molding Art Deco revival frame approximately 32 3/8 inches high by 26 3/4 inches wide by 1 1/8 inches deep.
No creases or tears and bold hues. Paper hue has visible mellowed to off-white with evidence of typical toning within matted area visible at far right edge where paper has very slightly shifted in mat. Frame good except for upper left corner damage.
