May we present to you a very rare auction item indeed. Our client has decided to part with this amazing piece of work from the '30s ! Tirol - Vintage Travel Poster by Hedi Scherer 63x85 cm, 1936, pr. Kifa-Innsbruck. Offset printed in innsbruck, austria on linen paper - so amazing you can actually "feel" the age of this piece of art. 24" x 33" The last time this poster became available was in 2007. Back then it sold for 360 Euro. The poster artistically represent the many winter vacations scene's of Tirol, a popular winter sport and adult holiday location. This poster is rare 9 out of 10, with only the slightest of imperfections near the edges and a small hole near the second left panel. Amazingly cared for and stored flat for the better part of 75 years between acid-free paper and in a smoke free and humidity controlled environment. Innsbruck, city, capital of Bundesland (federal state) Tirol, western Austria, is located on the Inn at the mouth of the Sill River in the Eastern Alps. This poster was created 2 years before Austria was annexed by Nazi Germany in the Anschluss, in 1938.
