Whimsical oblong panel depicting beach goers circa 1938. Image: 7 7/8" x 22 1/2". Frame: 15" x 29 3/4". Inscribed "Robert Riggs, Esq." on verso label. This work appears in the artist's Catalogue Raisonne by Ben Bassham as "A Hot Day at Coney Beach", pg 50, and was featured as an illustration in Fortune Magazine, August 1938 for the article "To Heaven by Subway."
