Old German WWII SA Dagger RZM 7/68 1941 Nazi Military w/ Scabbard & Leather Strap w/ Buckle Second of 2
First of two closely related daggers from the same local estate. However, this is a different estate than the estates the book and flag came from. This dagger has inlaid copper colored eagle on handle and an enamel SA logo above the eagle. (the other dagger has a silvered one). The words “RZM M 7/68 1941” are engraved at the rear bottom of the blade (there is no stepped unsharpened tang on this example) and it reads “Alles Fur Deutschland” (English: All for Germany) in etched lettering on the other side. Scabbard clip is signed “RZM m5/71 together with a diamond stamp & the leather strap is signed RZ L2/338/41. There are metal mounts on the scabbard as well.
Measurements: 15” long and 3” wide at widest point in handle
Very good condition. There are small scratches and tiny dings in the wooden handle and metal mounts. Moderate surface scuffing on the blade itself. Some marks from being pulled in and out of scabbard. Leather strap has some wear and slight cracking consistent with age. Visible surface wear to the eagle. Not sure if it was originally manufactured with a copper patina. We also cannot tell if it has been sharpened or not. Please note – we are not edged weapons dealers or specialists and we understand that condition and grading is a very important matter to many knife collecting enthusiasts. Please check out are detailed photos and call us in advance of bidding should you have any questions.
