first edition, first issue (no reviews on front flap of jacket and 3 advertisements to rear panel), slight age-toning otherwise internally fine, original cloth, spine ends bumped, dust-jacket, lightly soiled, rubbed, small chips and creases, 8vo, 1937.

***The true first edition of this famous novel based on the author's years living on a Kenyan coffee plantation with her husband, from whom she was later divorced. Blixen then translated the book into her native Danish for publication, preceding the American edition..
