Description
The General Died at Dawn (Paramount, 1936). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A.
Lewis Milestone directs this spy thriller saga of soldier-of-fortune, Gary Cooper trying to deliver money for arms to leaders of a Chinese province where an evil warlord is trying to prevail. Madeleine Carroll stars as a spy nemesis who becomes his lover, of course. The real star of this Paramount film is this gorgeous poster, one which Heritage has never before offered! One of the most dramatic images from the studio during this period, we are very pleased to offer this rare beauty. Other than pinholes in the corners and a slight water stain in the lower right hand corner the colors on the poster are vibrant. The linen on which it is mounted is trimmed right next to the poster on the left and right side and though the poster measures a full 27" we cannot be sure that there may not be a very slight trim on either side. Very Fine- on Linen.
