Description
Tarnished Lady (Paramount, 1931). Lobby Cards (5) (11" X 14").
Tarnished Lady was American-born London stage star Tallulah Bankhead's feature sound film debut. Bankhead is Nancy Courtney, a socialite, whose main interest is snagging a wealth tycoon (Clive Brook). George Cukor directs and later went on to champion "women's pictures" such as The Philadelphia Story. Paper on this film is extremely rare, including these lobby cards, which show only creases in the corners, foxing in the bottom edge, a small gouge in Bankhead's face and pinholes in the background. Fine/Very Fine.
