Circa 1845, English, etched signature to support plate ''Smith & Sons / Clerkenwell'', the circular pierced silvered dial with black Roman numerals and blued steel hands, with lead pendulum bob and oak rod, supported on a scroll-pattern three-plate frame enclosing a fusee chain-wound 8-day single train movement, striking on the hour, surmounted by a bell standard and halberd-form striking hammer, the whole mounted on a stepped oblong white marble base with a glass dome, the clock alone: 17'' H x 12.25'' W x 3.5'' D, est:$2000/3000. Clock and base overall: 19.75'' H x 17.5'' W x 8.5'' D; glass dome alone: 18'' H. Overall good condition. Bell crooked in mount. Refinished. Marble base possibly later. Working condition unknown and not guaranteed.
