Framed Printed Chintz Friendship Quilt Block, printed cotton segments cut out and appliqued to a white cotton ground, with ink inscription "L. & D.E. Merrill/Portland, Oct. 8, 1843," at center, sight size 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 in., in a molded giltwood frame.
