BREITLING - a titanium quartz gentleman's Professional Emergency bracelet watch, the dark blue dial with Arabic numerals and double digital display, bi-directional compass bezel, tonneau shaped case numbered E56121.1, fitted to a titanium Professional bracelet with folding clasp. Case width 43mm. With box and papers. Offered with limited edition, signed and mounted piece of the Breitling Orbiter 3 balloon, signed copy of The Greatest Adventure book, Interactive CD ROM, signed photographs and mission badge and signed Swiss first day cover.This was the watch worn by Brian Jones OBE during the historic first circumnavigation of the globe by balloon in 1999. It was provided by Breitling as sponsors of the mission, as shown on the consignment papers. The flight took 19 days 21hrs and set the record for the longest duration and furthest distance of any flight within the earth's atmosphere.
Breitling Professional Emergency bracelet watch, movement is functioning, dial appears in good condition, hands appear in good condition with very faint marks being visible to the center of the hands when examined with an eye glass, glass has no scratches visible to the naked eye, case is in good condition however there is a small amount of very faint marks visible when closely examined, case back is in same condition as the case, bezel is in good condition, high points to bezel show very faint marks when examined closely, bracelet links are in good condition however there are some very fine scratches visible under close inspection, clasp is in good condition and good working order, some very faint marks can be seen to the clasp under close inspection. Bracelet measures approximately 18cm including the case. This lot comes with box and condition of sales contract. Due to the opening of the case back we recommend that this lot be resealed by an authorised technician before use near water.
