English Silverplate Hot Water Urn, second quarter 20th century, in the Georgian taste, the urn-form body gadrooned about the lower half, with cavetto collar and high, arched, foliate-mounted molded handles, with a reeded tap and spatulate faux ivory key finial, with a tall waisted domed lid with urn-from finial, the whole raised above a square plinth on four spherical feet, h. 23-3/4", w. 12", d. 11".
Overall Condition: Good. Large area of bleed-though to the copper on the lid, with some very small areas of bleed-though to the brass on the body, particularly at the sharp edges of the base. No dents, breaks or repairs noted. Not tested for water-fastness or working spigot. Very slight wobble, probably correctable with the addition of a felt pad on one foot. Unmarked.
