Suite of Twelve George III-Style Mahogany Dining Chairs in the Chippendale Taste, consisting of two armchairs and ten sidechairs, each with a pagoda-form top above an elaborately carved and interlacing ribbon-carved splat, the padded seat raised on carved square legs to molded feet, h. 42".
Arms: Arm rests of one re-glued at the stile, another with a restored break to the splat. Sides: Two with restored breaks to the splat (one of these with losses). Front molded foot of one with a loss at the side. All with scattered scuffs and dings, primarily to the legs, consistent with use. Some vertical shrinkage to the carved splats here and there.
