George III-Style Mahogany and Brass Cellarette, mid-20th century, the hexagonal case with a hinged top opening to an open interior, the body with triple brass banding and carrying handles, raised on a stand of splayed square legs, h. 28", dia. 19". Erratum: Note that this is a George III-STYLE Mahogany and Brass Cellarette, MID-20th CENTURY (not period George III, early 19th century as stated in the print and earlier online catalogues).
Attractive lot in generally good condition. The top with a slight horizontal "dip" near the front. The rear panel with minor surface shrinkage within the grain, now filled. Very scattered shallow scratches and scuffs overall. The stand sturdy. Mid-20th c. (NOT 19th c.)
