A lot of 3 architectural elements from a house, Roman & Etruscan. The first is a section of painted wall, 1st Century AD, showing part of a geometric section, ridges divide the sections which are deep red, green and yellow. The side displays a cross-section - the base Roman concrete which was covered with stucco then dress with plaster for the paint. 5 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 1 7/8" (13.9 x 13.3 x 4.8cm); the second is a section of flooring, c. 3rd - 4th Century AD, constructed from tesserae set into a stucco or plaster base, 4 3/4" x 3 3/4" (12 x 9.5 cm); the last is part of an Etruscan terracotta antefix with a gorgon-like head facing, floral elements to the side of it, 5 3/8" x"4 1/2" (13.6 x 11.4 cm). An interesting lot, the section of painted wall extremely difficult to come by. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
