Pendant erotic paintings by Patricia Wahl (American, 1934 - 2010. "My Interpretation of the Great Japanese Artist Utamaro from Original Brides Book, 1788: Afternoon Love & Sex", 2002 and "My Interpretation of the Great Japanese Artist Utamaro, 1788: Two Lesbians", 2000. Both are oil on panel; panels measure 38.5 by 47 inches (40.5 by 49 x 2.25 inches with frame). Love & Sex is signed "P.Wahl" in the lower left, Two Lesbians, the lower right. These shunga (erotic) paintings are based on the works of noted ukiyo-e bijinga Japanese printmaker Kitagawa Utamaro (1753 - 1806). Both are in very good condition with wear and peeling of the frames.
