RARE - VINTAGE - Andrea Mistretta Mardi Gras Print 1988
This is a unique item from 1988, and is printed on foam board. The print is in MINT condition. The artist herself sells these limited edition prints for over $500 each. This print was removed from it's frame and stored flat and in between acid free paper. One the back of the print, is the original ABOUT THE ARTIST backing, where she explains her vision.
Since 1985, the enchanting and joyful expressions of Andrea Mistretta has graced the heart of the Crescent City, and her posters have been exhibited at Disney World and Universal Studios. Opulently framed in grand homes, humbly pushpinned to the walls of school dorms and hung in local taverns, her classic poster art is a slice of Mardi Gras Culture. Mistretta has been a major influence in the popularity of Mardi Gras celebrations to US regions outside of New Orleans and the South.
