Signed indistinctly lower right, this is a painting on board that will really sing when cleaned. The reflection of the trees in the water, sky and clouds above and possibly mountains in the background make this either American or European in the Barbizon style. 10" wide by 7" tall art work size, original frame is 13" wide by 10" tall. Probably 1870-1890.
