Description

Ptolemaic Period, 305-30 BC. A blue-glazed composition lion mask formed with thick brows and D-shaped panel to the top of the head, broad muzzle and gaping mouth. From the private collection of a German Gentleman, acquired prior to 1982. Faience, 30 grams, 43 mm (2 3/4").
