14KT Yellow Gold 7.72ct Tanzanite, Black and White Diamond Ring A4140. Excellent Condition! XM7352RP. One electronically tested 14KT yellow gold ladies cast tanzanite, black & white diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within a two tiered white and black diamond lattice gallery, completed by a three millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of “14K”. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 11.95 x 9.60 x 8.90mm, approximate weight of 7.72ct. clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA Vb 6/4) to medium dark, moderately strong, bluish purple, (GIA Bp 6/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. The stone displays 30% extinction. Colored Stones Grading report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and not be cleaned using this method. Fourteen prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 3.00 – 2.90 x 1.77mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 14 Stones 1.38ct. graded in setting. Clarity VS-2 to SI-2.
