Felice Woodworth Original Watercolor “Dunes & Cypress, Near Carmel” ED527. Excellent Vintage Condition! NH102SD. This wonderful original watercolor on paper, which we've titled Dunes and Cypress, Near Carmel" is signed by Woodworth on the front L/R corner and is valued at over $900.00. We estimate that this ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR was painted in the early 1970's, perhaps earlier. The artwork’s measures 15 1/2" X 22". It has been professionally matted and framed in a Mahogany and Black Gallery Edition frame. The measurement of the frame is 35”x28”. Woodworth has really captured the color and image of the coastal ice plant and cypress in this work. A remarkable Monterey Peninsula image! The painting is in excellent condition. Artist Felice Woodworth (1914-1996) was born June 22, 1914 in Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Pratt Institute in New York City. While she studied there her instructor was renown American watercolorist, Ogden M Pleissner. She spent time studying with Millard Sheets, Gerald Brommer, and Tom Nicholas, to name a few. - Thank you for viewing this lot.
