Griswold #6 "ERIE" Tea Kettle "Original Porcelain Knob". Very Rare and Hard To Find Erie #6 Cast Iron Tea Kettle, by Griswold, in the Pit Bottom Design with Gate Mark and the Rare Original Porcelain Knob. The fact that it has a gate mark, means this is probably one of the Older Tea Kettles made in the Late 1800s. There is a Raised 6 on the pour spout and a Raised "ERIE" cast. There is some rust and pitting on the inside bottom and on the outside bottom and there is some normal calcium (mineral deposits) inside, but there are no holes. By having the Original Porcelain Knob, Original Wire Coil Handle and a Gate Mark, makes this piece an Exceptional 91-131 Year Old Antique Decorator Piece and Extremely Sought After By The Most Advanced Collectors.
