He began exhibiting his work at the Hungarian Art Gallery, and became recognized for his naturalistic landscapes. His specialty was forest scenes in the snow, the refracted light creating atmosphere. The technique he used primarily was impasto, working in layers of paint to create vivid three-dimensional landscapes.
