Description

20 X 13 X 8.25, All original Genuine UNION CHEST, 7 Drawermachinist's tool chest, serial # 269 (marked on inside bottom and on each drawer in grease pencil), made of solid oak, and bottom of each drawer is steel lined with green felt, metal tag on the 6th drawer reads "This is a Genuine Union Chest. The Standard of Quality Since 1893. Union Steel Chest Corp., Leroy, NY.". When the lid is opened, 2 spring loaded pins pop up which allows the front panel to be removed, panel can tucked into a space underneath the drawers, Used condition with rust on the hinges, pulls, and corner protectors, includes the key, leather handle is rough, overall great condition. Included are papers that were found in a drawer, a correspondence to and from US Government Acting Supply Officer to the Training Officer about his order of Starrett items for a veteran in training at Lukens Steel Coatesville, PA , dated 1/23/1947.
