18KT White Gold 8.50ct Tanzanite and Diamond Ring A4148. Excellent Condition! PL6293MT. One electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within a diamond lattice gallery, completed by a two millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of “18K”. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 15.05 x 11.20 x 6.80mm, 8% bulge factor, approximate weight of 8.50ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, very slightly, grayish, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 6/3) to medium dark, very slightly grayish, bluish purple, (GIA bP 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Twelve prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 3.80 – 3.80 x 2.28mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 12 Stones = 2.60ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to SI-2. Color H – J.
