14k yellow gold open face Elgin pocket watch, stem wind, stem set. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and railroad minute track with subsidiary seconds dial. The movement has a nice finish and is stamped "Elgin Natl Watch Co." The case back is stamped 14k and "Lord Elgin Series." Tasteful engraving "From Father & Mother, 1896 1917 July 7th" on the inside of the case back and a nice monogram on the outside. Case diameter is approximately 47mm, men's size. Total weight is approximately 62.5g.
Running at the time of inspection, however it was not checked for accuracy. The dial has some hairlines with some chips to the enamel. The hands have some marks. The case has some tarnish and superficial scratches.
