A finely detailed miniature US Naval Sword having a steel blade with brass hilt marked. Officially declared obsolete in today's Navy by NavOrd Inst. 4500-1 in November 1949, in 1954 the officer's ceremonial sword was officially restored as part of the uniform to be worn on prescribed occasions.
