Description

This dagger was hand made during WWII in Philadelphia from a surplus WWI Patton sword. It has a wooden handle and comes in its original WWII dark brown leather sheath complete with tie down. The addition of a tie down was most often practiced by Marines. This is a unique piece. Even if the same craftsman made multiple weapons no two would ever be exactly the same. This knife is documented in Cole, "KNIVES OF WORLD WAR II. Vol. IV" Size: O.A. 11 7/8" L. x 2" W. x 1.25" D. Blade: 7" L. In Scabbard: L. 13" x W. 2.75" Weight: 11oz
