Sword cane with finer than usual, four sided, steel blade which has been hand worked to produce four light fullers and edge decoration. Terminates in an equally fine point. The 'scabbard' made of malacca wood with German silver ferrule and steel tip. A locking closure device, as in most better made sword canes, holds the blade fast within the shaft and is released by the push of a button. c. 1820. Size: 35" L. x 3.5" W. Weight: 9oz
Condition: Very good noting slight age checking to the horn and shaft which has 15% loss of lacquer. Ferrule is dinged. Blade has some very light pitting.
