Sword & leather scabbard - brass pommel handle decorated with eagle and other foliage; guard front shield shape with 6 stars, flowers & foliage;triangular shaped blade with three deep fullers, guard reverse shield contains nothing. Brass top and bottom of scabbard. No markings found. Circa 1840-60 Size: blade: 28.5" L x 5/8" W; overall sword: 33-3/8" L; Overall sword in scabbard: 34-7/8" L x 4" W x 1" Thick Weight: 1.5 lbs
Condition: Very good. Blade original finish with light rust on blade.
