The first currency in the New World. This piece is typical of the original agricultural axe currency from which the Aztec types were later derived. While most specimens are either green with oxidation or brown with soil adhesions this piece combines both though is predominantly brown. This piece is thin and chisel-shaped without the common side ridges. Size: 5" H. x 1.75" W Weight: .6oz
Condition: Excellent, some indicative oxidation and soil adhesion.
