Civil War sword model 1850, unadorned blade, brass hilt, regulation steel scabbard. Blade- marked on one side of the ricasso Horstmann and Sons and opposite Philadelphia, top edge of the blade stamped NEU...N. Hilt- brass with floral designs including simple split openwork guard, the underside which is stamped with the initials K. N. Grips- wood with wire wrapping. Scabbard- steel with bolsters ings and drag. PROVENANCE: Dr. James E. Connor ,1939-1994- Ford White House, secy. to the cabinet, administrator to the President. Size: 39.25" Weight: 2.2lbs

Condition: Blade: Some areas of light pitting. Hilt: fine. Grips: Leather very good with small imperfections. Scabbard: has minor dents and areas of pitting and light rust.
