Description

A cavalry sword, circa 1900. Blade is etched from the ricasso 'Harding Uniform & Regalia Co., Boston, Mass.', foliates, armor and flags, more foliates, U.S. on center , floral and foliates, armor and flags, and more floral and foliates. The opposite side shows foliates, armor below flags, floral and foliates, centered is great seal of United States, floral and foliates, flags with a shield and object with U.S. across, and more floral and foliates. Hilt is and open guard and nickel plated brass and grip is hard rubber. Scabbard is nickel plated steel with two rings and simple drag. PROVENANCE: Dr. James E. Connor ,1939-1994- Ford White House, secy. to the cabinet, administrator to the President. Size: In scabbard 39", blade 31.5" Weight: 2.3 lbs

Condition: Very good, minor discoloration on blade, scabbard shows wear on middle of one side.
