Two Antique African Basketry Bowls
TWO ANTIQUE AFRICAN BASKETRY BOWLS
Probably central or east Africa, early 20th Century
Both baskets formed by coiling; one plain and simple, the other with an added leather bottom and a strip around the rim; both sewn on with narrow leather strips, the band additionally decorated with upholstery nail heads.
Largest: 5 ¼ x 12 ¼ x 12 ½ inches.
