A FINE E. J. VICTOR FIGURED WALNUT SIDEBOARD
America, 20th Century
The burl walnut reserve of the radiused, stepped and banded top is adorned with Chippendale style pierced fretwork edge. The top is supported by a conforming body, four locking doors; the two center doors featuring four faux drawer detail and applied beed and reel carving. The center doors also feature a large roundel which encompasses both doors, enclosing vertical burl walnut veneer and a large carved acanthus escutcheon. The doors open to reveal two drawers lined with pacific cloth and monogrammed E. J. Victor, above two shelves. The curved side doors open to reveal two shelves. All raised on a recessed conforming plinth. Key included.
