One pair electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast & assemble tanzanite and diamond dangle earrings with standard backs. Condition is new, good workmanship. Each earring features a pear shaped tanzanite set within a diamond bezel, completed by ribbons. Containing: One prong set pear mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 16.00 x 11.00 x 7.20mm, approximate total weight of 8.49ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, moderately strong, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 5/4) to light, moderately strong, bluish purple, (GIA bP 3/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting. One prong set pear mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 16.10 x 10.50 x 7.20mm, approximate weight of 8.17ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, moderately strong, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 5/4) to light, moderately strong, purple, (GIA P ¾), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is found in Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. It is interesting because of the exceptional pleochroism. Rotated, a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, do not use this cleaning method. Two hundred sis prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.00 – 1.20 x 0.96mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 206 Stones = 2.70ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1.
