1 vol. (Manuscript Book of Hours.) Horae. Use of Rome. [Central Eastern France, ca. 1450-1500.] In Latin. Manuscript on vellum, 185 leaves, 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches; 140 mm x 90 mm. Bound in 18th-century vellum; some wear & dust soiling. Lacking the first leaf of the Calendar. 18th-century ink institutional ownership inscription on front remaining calendar leaf recto. With vivid miniature (70 x 60 mm) of King David playing the harp framed in gold and accompanied by full border in color & gold. Also with 5 other leaves with full borders in colors & gold - several incorporating the original owner's initials, H.B. & Coat of Arms. 2-4 line initials in gold & colors. Script in brown ink with red & blue. Generally internally clean.
