Paul Maximilien Landowski, French, 1875-1961. An Art Deco Period carved wooden sculpture entitled "IMMACULATA" Depicts the Virgin Mary standing above a Crescent in a floor length robe decorated with carved floral design and gilded detail. Landowski is best known for his sculpture "Christ The Redeemer" in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which is referred to as one of the "Seven Wonders of the New World". Signed with Landowski's cypher, lower right. Original finish with gilded detail, some slight wear, minor edge roughness. 19" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-4,000
